About Us

Lydia and Mark met at the lunch table junior year at Big Walnut High School.

They began dating a few months after Mark had moved to Ohio, at the lights display at the Columbus Zoo on December 10, 2009.

While in high school, Mark joined the track and cross country teams to impress his girl.

Sophomore year in college, they moved to Wilmington, NC together to attend UNCW.

After two years, Lydia moved to Raleigh to finish at NC State,while Mark finished at UNCW.

The weekend of Mark’s graduation from UNCW, he had both of their families and a few friends in town to celebrate.

The next morning, he took them to the north tip of Wrightsville Beach, Mark and Lydia’s favorite spot, where Mark asked Lydia to marry him on December 10, 2017.

After eight years growing together as best friends, Lydia said YES – and the two cannot wait to get married on September 22, 2018!

Though they both loved living at the beach, they have enjoyed moving closer to the mountains, and cannot wait to share their love of the beauty with you at their wedding ceremony at Big Butte Mountain Retreat, only an hour drive from one of their favorite cities, Asheville, NC.
